Live streaming from a cable Box(digibox), DVD player or any analog devices

Live streaming from a cable box, DVD player or analog player is also possible but an additional hardware is needed in order to convert the analog signal into a digital one. As a result of an in-house testing, the following device resulted to be functioning:

CANOPUS ADVC 110

The device is external and does not require any driver installations (plug and play). It enables the capture of the audio and video signal through composite video input (RCA + S-video) and converts the signal into a digital output that can be captured by a computer using a firewire cable (4 or 6 pin).

To live stream follow the same steps as illustrated in “live streaming from a digital video (DV) camera”.
